The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals kicked off on Wednesday night, with Barcelona beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in the first leg.
The first half was relatively quiet, with both teams struggling to create clear scoring opportunities. Manchester United's defence was steadfast, but in the 12th minute of the second half, Luis Suárez scored the only goal of the game, slipping past the defence to head in a cross from Lionel Messi.
The Red Devils fought back with a few chances, but were unable to find an equaliser. In the end, Barcelona were able to hold onto their lead and claim an important away victory.
